Words fail to describe how compelling, gripping and awe-inspiring this movie really is. This movie grabs you within the first 2 minutes, and doesn't ever let go; I have NEVER had 2 and a half hours go by this fast in the theater.
The acting performances, across the board, were phenomenal. Christian Bale was excellent again as both the Batman and Bruce Wayne, being able to portray the deep conflicts within the character, and the intensity and dedication the Batman personifies. Aaron Eckhart was an excellent addition as Harvey Dent, able to portray the gradual disintegration of the character into the monstrous Two-Face. And what else can be said about Heath Ledger as the Joker? I have two words; Oscar winning. His performance was riveting, charismatic and terrifying. I had chills watching him perform, and he brought out the best out of all the other actors on screen with him. the dialogs between him and Christian Bale were intense and unforgettable. The rest of the acting cast was perfect; Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhal and Gary Oldman were amazing in their roles.
The plot was and the story were brilliant, and there was never at any point that it became predictable or boring. The script was one of the best in the last 10 years. It had the perfect balance of drama, tension and wit. There were no bad lines to be found anywhere.
The action scenes kept the story moving and were brilliantly shot. The scenes with the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod were amazing to watch. The soundtrack was also brilliant, and was the perfect accent to what was on the screen.
In conclusion, this is not only the best comic-book movie of all time, but one of the greatest crime epics of all time. This was a great event, and should not be missed. I have never considered a movie to be 10/10 until this one came out; this one finally fit the bill as to what a perfect movie should be.
